Express Entry Draws vs IRCC’s CRS tool
IRCC’s “Check your score” page is the official CRS calculator, and the score in your Express Entry profile is the one that counts. Our calculator follows the same published criteria and adds what IRCC’s tool doesn’t have yet. Here is where each one is better.

Does our calculator give the same score?
Under the current rules, yes on the profiles we compared: we entered test profiles into IRCC’s tool on October 25, 2026 and matched it line for line, and the totals are pinned in our test suite. Under the November 2026 rules there is no official calculator to compare with yet, so those scores follow IRCC’s published tables on its changes page.
Who should use IRCC’s tool
- Before you submit a profile or accept an invitation. It’s the official reference.
- If you’d rather read it in French.
- If you have no Canadian work and no job offer. The November changes don’t affect you, so the official tool already shows the right number.
Who should use ours
- Anyone with Canadian work or a job offer who wants to see what the November 3, 2026 rules do to their score.
- Anyone comparing their score with recent draws for their program (CEC, French, healthcare, trades and others).
Express Entry Draws is not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada, and this page is not immigration or legal advice. Your official score is the one in your Express Entry profile.

Questions people ask
+Is Express Entry Draws an IRCC website?
No. We are independent and not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada. Draw results come from IRCC’s public data file, and the calculator follows IRCC’s published criteria.
+Why might my score differ from my Express Entry profile?
Usually because of an answer: education credential type, which test scores count as first language, or whether your spouse is coming with you. Your profile’s score is the official one.
